“We already have a game plan for Sunday. Beckman winning the Challenge shows how strong our cars are, and I think all of John Force Racing is in a good place going into eliminations.”

A Big Weekend for John Force Racing

With Beckman securing the Funny Car No. 1 qualifier and Challenge win, Brittany Force resetting another track speed record, and Austin Prock staying near the top of the charts, it has been a dominant weekend so far for John Force Racing. The team’s strong showing demonstrates why Jack Beckman Dominates NHRA Brainerd in both qualifying and challenge events.

The team will now look to carry that momentum into Sunday’s eliminations, where they aim to turn qualifying success into race-day victories.

BRAINERD, MINN. (Aug. 16, 2025) – Jack Beckman delivered a standout performance Saturday at the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals, held at Brainerd International Raceway. Competing in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, the 2012 Funny Car champion proved why he’s still among the very best by earning the No. 1 qualifier spot and winning the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge. Jack Beckman Dominates NHRA Brainerd with his incredible speed and consistency.

Beckman’s Strong Runs

Driving the John Force Racing PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS Funny Car, Beckman made two remarkable passes during final qualifying. His first run of 3.879 seconds at 330.63 mph secured him the top qualifying position. Later, he carried that momentum into the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge, where he defeated Matt Hagan with a 3.942-second pass at 324.59 mph.

This is Beckman’s fourth No. 1 qualifier of the season, following his earlier victories at the Gatornationals, Route 66 Raceway, and Virginia Motorsports Park. Saturday’s win was also his third 2Fast2Tasty Challenge victory of 2025, showing just how consistent and dangerous he is on race weekends.

Beckman will now open eliminations on Sunday against Dave Richards, the No. 16 qualifier.
“I think we’re finally back in our rhythm,” Beckman said. Beckman has now secured his fourth No. 1 qualifier of the season, adding to his previous wins at the Gatornationals, Route 66 Raceway, and Virginia Motorsports Park.
“We’re seeing the consistency we need, and I feel really confident heading into race day.”

Brittany Force Resets Track Speed Record

It wasn’t just Beckman who impressed for John Force Racing. Driving the Monster Energy Top Fuel Dragster, Brittany Force earned the second qualifying spot with an impressive 3.697-second pass at 340.82 mph, setting a new speed record at Brainerd International Raceway.

Brainerd is now the fifth different track in 2025 where Brittany has topped 340 mph, further proving her place as one of the fastest drivers in NHRA history. The team’s current objective is to bring the Monster Energy crew back to the winner’s circle.

Force expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, saying, “We’re pleased with our consistency this weekend. We made three solid runs out of four, and that gives us confidence going into race day. The team’s focus now is on returning the Monster Energy squad to the winner’s circle.”

Austin Prock Holds Strong

Reigning Funny Car champion Austin Prock had a tougher Saturday, as traction issues prevented him from making clean runs. Still, his 3.893-second pass at 331.45 mph on Friday was enough to hold the No. 2 spot in qualifying. Prock is set to compete against Jim Campbell in the opening round of eliminations.

Despite the setbacks, Prock remained positive, highlighting the team’s overall momentum. Clearly, Jack Beckman Dominates NHRA Brainerd once again, continuing to set the standard for performance at Brainerd International Raceway.
