After a tough start to the weekend — recording only 93.88 mph on his first pass — Austin Prock rebounded with a strong 3.908-second run at 332.59 mph, placing him fifth in the qualifying order. He’ll start Sunday facing Cruz Pedregon in what promises to be a competitive first-round race. “They always have it under control on this Cornwell Tools machine,” said Prock. “A lot of people panic when we miss one or two runs, but really, we’re just a little off — not broken.”

“From blowing the tires off in Q3 to the fourth-best run in the final session — that says a lot. We made some test adjustments this weekend, and I’m confident we’ll be even stronger on Sunday.”
